Cambodia National Road No.4 Flooded By Heavy Rain

The following is an update on the Cambodia National Road No.4 flooded by heavy rain.

Parts of Cambodia provinces and cities are currently under low pressure weather, causing heavy rain since August 14, 2006.

National Road No.4, the main road links Phnom Penh City and Sihanoukville Port, is flooded by the heavy rain. All vehicle transportation is cut off by a 1.60m height and 1 km length of flood at Stung Samroung village, which is about 100km from Sihanoukville, and 4 other villages are also affected. Small boats are being used to transport people/villagers from the affected area.

According to the weather department, this bad weather condition is estimated to continue till August 17, 2006, but it will take along for some northeast areas next to Vietnam border.
