In the morning of August 17, 2006, the part of the road that affected by flood is getting better. AZ toll company of the National Road No.4 has open the gate and allow only small passenger cars to go through, but due to the road condition, container trucks & other heavy vehicles are needed to wait for another 48 hours, which means on August 19, 2006.
On August 18, 2006, in order to relief number of trucks that getting stuck on the road, the toll company has open the road for all trucks at 11:00am, half days earlier than the planned schedule. This is giving hope to all garment/footwear manufacturers/exporters in Phnom Penh to meet feeder cut off for SAT/SUN sailings as per original plan, otherwise over 1000 teus of garment/footwear will be delayed due to the weather condition.
