Business Plan 2006 – October Conference Rate Restoration
As part of the FEFC Business Plan announced on 28th March 2006, Member Lines of the FEFC wish to advise customers of the following Conference rate restoration programme:-
Cargo from Asia (excluding Japan) to North Europe/Scandinavia and Mediterranean
Conference Rate Restoration – 1st October 2006
A Conference rate increase of USD 200/TEU to be implemented in the above trade lanes effective from 1st October 2006. Resulting Conference tariff rates are then valid until 31st December 2006.
Customers are also reminded that a Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) of USD 90 per TEU will remain in place until 31st October 2006.
Cargo from Scandinavia/North Continent and Mediterranean to Asia (including Japan)
Dry Cargo in General Purpose (GP) Containers
A Conference rate increase of USD 100/Container to be implemented with effect from 1st October 2006. Resulting Conference tariff rates are then valid until 30th November 2006
Dry Cargo in Special Containers
For cargo requiring special containers (flat racks/open top’s etc), a Conference rate increase of USD 300/Container to be implemented with effect from 1st October 2006. Resulting Conference tariff rates are then valid until 30th November 2006.
Reefer Cargo
Further to their announcement on 15th August, Member Lines of the FEFC wish to advise Customers that in line with the above, the Conference rate increase for general reefer cargo and non-seasonal cargoes in reefer containers of USD 200 per Container will now be applied with effect from 1st October 2006. Increased Conference tariff rates will be valid until 30th November 2006, or until end of season only.
