Customer Advisory: Hurricane Sandy Update, 05 Nov 12
All NY and NJ terminals used by OOCL opened at 0700 this morning. All of the NY facilities will also be open tomorrow, Tuesday Nov 6th, Election Day, which was previously announced as a No Work Day.
Following are present plans for terminal openings today:
- NOTE: Elizabeth and Port Newark Traffic Alert.
- Open to truck traffic from 07:00 hrs to 18:00 hrs only until further notice. Trucks will not be allowed on the Port outside of these hours.
- Not all traffic signals are operating so driver caution and awareness is required. Please spread container pickup and delivery throughout the day in order to avoid undue wait time at terminals. No queuing allowed on street and the ban will be strictly enforced by Port Authority Police.
- Tyler Street in Port Newark is closed to traffic due to signal outage and all traffic for this section of the Port is diverted to Marsh Street.
- Sealink and TWIC offices are closed until further notice.
