Customer Advisory: Canadian Prairies Intermodal Service

Effective with the below mentioned vessel services, all OOCL cargo containers moving by rail to/from the Canadian prairie cities of Calgary, Edmonton, and Winnipeg will be serviced by the Canadian National Rail Road (CNRR). All Saskatoon cargo will continue to be serviced by the CNRR.

All Regina cargo will continue to be serviced by the Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR).

For export shipments originating from any of the above points, in addition to submitting a rail billing request to OOCL, a train reservation from CNRR is required. Train reservations can be obtained on-line at www.cn.ca, and can be made up to seven (7) calendar days prior to origin rail cutoff date. For import shipments destined to any of the above points, please note the empty return location will be the CNRR rail terminal facility.

The following are the effective vessel services to utilize the CNR Canadian Prairies rail terminals:
  • PNX Service: Zim Djibouti Voyage 030 Estimated Time of Arrival to Vancouver is November 26th
  • NWX Service: Vienna Express Voyage 024 Estimated Time of Arrival to Vancouver is November 29th
  • GEX1 Service: OOCL Belgium Voyage 426 Estimated Time of Arrival to Montreal is November 28th
  • GEX2 Service: OOCL Toronto Express Voyage 234 Estimated Time of Arrival to Montreal is November 25th
