OOCL Green Week

As a responsible corporate citizen, OOCL cares about the environment and has outlined it in our Community Responsibility Core Value. To create more awareness and promote environmental protection initiatives at OOCL, OOCL will designate the first week of July of every year as OOCL Green Week. During this special week, all OOCL offices and colleagues are encouraged to organize activities in support of environmental protection.

OOCL (China) Ltd. responded immediately and a Focus Team was set up to brainstorm the major local activities in China. Besides the execution of the activities proposed by HQ, we have also designed more local activities as supplements. For instance, there’s an environmental friendly theme everyday including environmental protection knowledge contest, video watching, use of public transportation for work and use own bags for shopping, etc. In addition, creative posters were made to promote environmental protection in our office; BBS was built to share environmental protection methods, stories and so on.

After the green week, we learned more about environmental protection and embraced the spirit and good practices of environmental protection, both at work and in our personal lives.

Although this year’s green week has passed, the awareness of environmental protection has been established deeply in our mind. The environmental protection action still keeps on moving. Let’s protect the environment together and take good care of our unique homeland – the earth.
