Advance Shipping Instruction Cutoff
Hong Kong / Macau / South China to Japan

Dear Customers,

We would like to inform you that the Japan customs law was amended to include the obligatory advance filing rule on cargo information of the vessels, all carriers are required to file manifest to Japanese Customs 24 hours before vessel arrived the 1st port of discharge in Japan effective from 01 Feb 2007. As a result, the Shipping Instruction (SI) cutoff for following services to Japan will be advanced.

*Any SI submitted after our published SI cutoff will be subject to the late SI charge in HKD/RMB150.

Taking this opportunity, we would like to remind you to submit your SI to OOCL before our published SI cutoff. The timely submission of SI could help to ensure your container can be released to your consignee smoothly. If there is late or no SI received, the container may not be allowed to discharge and your company will be held fully liable for all consequential losses, costs and penalty.
