Dangerous Cargo Restriction during 2010 Shanghai World Expo

 

According to the Notice issued by Shanghai Municipal Transport & Port Authority and Shanghai Maritime Safety Administrator, below listed Dangerous Cargo are prohibited from operation at terminals of Shanghai Ports from April 1, 2010 to Nov 30, 2010.  

Port DG Prohibited For Discharging (Inbound); DG Prohibited Fo Loading (Outbound); DG Prohibited For Transhipment (Relay);DG Prohibited For Rehandling; Effective Date Expiry Date
Shanghai   (Excluding YAN Terminal) All Class 1  4/30/2010      0001LT 11/1/2010            0100LT

Class 2.3   highly toxic substances 

Class 3 (Acetone) - UN1090 ; UN1091 and any commodity containing the technical name of "Acetone"
Class 5.1 + 8 (Hydrogen Peroxide) - UN3149 ; UN2015 ; UN2014 ; UN2984 ; UN1511 and any commodity containing the technical name of "Hydrogen Peroxide"
Class 5.2 (organic peroxide) 
Class 6.1  highly toxic substances 
Class 7 (radioactive goods) 
Class 8 (Sulphuric Acid) - UN1786; UN1831; UN1832 ; UN1830 and any commodity containing the technical name of "Sulphuric Acid"
Class 8 (Nitric Acid) - UN2031 ; UN2032 any commodity containing the technical name of "Nitric Acid"
Class 8 (Hydrochloric Acid) - UN1789 and any commodity containing the technical name of "Hydrochloric Acid"
 Port  DG prohibited For Transit  Effective Date  Expiry Date
 ALL  Class 1, Class 6.2 and Class 7  4/1/2010  11/30/2010

Remarks:

a) Fireworks Export at WGQ terminals can be reviewed & approved by Shanghai Maritime Safety Authority (SMSA) on voyage basis
b) Exception can be granted for those shipments involved in international key projects, big enterprises' important construction and special needs of people's livelihood.  Customer should submit the application to Shanghai Municipal Transport and Port Authority for pre-approval.
c)  There is no restriction at Yanshan (YAN) terminal.
d)  Please refer to Chinese Version should there be discrepancies.
