OOCL announces a rotation change for the AEA3 - North East Asia Australia
service
OOCL to now service Qingdao Direct

OOCL is pleased to announce the rotation change of our AEA3 - North East Asia Australia service, together with partners Mitsui O.S.K. Line, K-Line, NYK and  Evergreen Marine Corp.

This rotation change will create a direct service between Qingdao and Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane. Additionally, the rotation change will improve the schedule integrity of AEA3, and shorten the transit time from Shanghai and Ningbo to Australia.

The adding of the Ningbo call to AEA3 will now give OOCL 2 sailing per week to/from this key China region.

This change in port rotation will see Yantian and Kaohsiung calls no longer on the AEA3 service loop. However, due to our multi loop network, OOCL still provides a direct weekly Northbound service to Taiwan (AEA1/ACE) and direct weekly Southbound service from Taiwan (AEA2/AANA). OOCL also maintains our direct Shenzhen port of call with AEA1/ACE ex. Shekou and will service Yantian via Hong Kong.

The first vessel of the new AEA3 rotation will be MV OOCL Nagoya V.042 calling Yokohama on Aug 4.

AEA3 new port rotation schedule:
Yokohama(Su/Su), Osaka(Tu/Tu), Pusan(We/Th), Qingdao(Fr/Su), Shanghai(Tu/We), Ningbo(We/Th), Melbourne(Tu/Th), Sydney(Fr/Su), Brisbane(Mo/Tu), and Yokohama.
