Electronic Submission Of Cargo Manifest
From Hong Kong, Macau, South China to Pakistan

Dear Customers, 


This is to advise that with effect from 14th August 2006, there are new customs requirements for inbound cargo manifest in Pakistan. Customers who have shipments moving to Pakistan must comply the followings:

1. Commercial Invoices and Packing List must be placed inside the container at Origin by shipper. In case of violation of regulations, authorities may impose penalty against Importer (Consignee) at PKR25,000 per container.
2. Importer or Consignee must submit the Goods Declaration for filing in custom within 10 calendar days after vessel arrival. In order to ensure compliance, shipper should notify their importer or consignee on the shipment information timely. From carrier's side, shipper is requested to provide complete address of Notify Party with Tel No. & Fax No. on the Shipping Instruction (SI) and the same details would be shown on the Bill of Lading so that the arrival notice could be reached to the right party accordingly.
 All copies of Bill of Lading must show the HS Code for goods/commodities to be manifested in Custom. The HS Code should be provided by the shipper in shipping Instruction (SI). The HS Code details can be found from the customs offices or you can approach your consignee for assistance.
4. Shippers must submit complete SI before SI cutoff (3 calendar days after vessel departure at loading port) in order to facilitate OOCL to submit manifest to customs in Port of discharge before the deadline. 

If any shipment cannot fulfill the requirements, it will NOT be allowed to discharge. Any penalty and additional costs occurred will be on account of cargo.
