Dear customer,

We would like to draw your attention that the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region will only accept electronic manifests from ocean and river carriers from 0000 hour of 16 June 2006. Therefore, Trade and Industry Department released the guideline

Attached are some of the examples quoted from the guideline showing the acceptable and not acceptable cargo descriptions for your easy reference.

For more details, please refer to the Cargo Information (0740) of Session 6.3 Cargo Manifest of “How to Submit Cargo Manifests by Using Electronic Service (EMAN Guidebook) April 2006 v.2”, on the Manifest Requirements, of Import and Export at Government Information Centre on Trade and Industry Department’s webpage.
