Import Demurrage (Free Time & Charge*)
1. Definition of Key Terms
Import | Demurrage charges are
applied for container rental whilst containers are at the terminal. Freetime
starts as from the moment container is discharged. |

3. Remarks
- The
tariff covers all trades in Congo
- The
tariff is calculated by calendar day. (i.e. including Saturday, Sunday &
National holiday)
- The
tariff does not include any storage and reefer charges at port of inland
facility, all these charges should be paid by customer directly.
- As
local practice, port related charges (i.e., storage charges) are directly
settled by customer to the terminals. Carrier is not involved in the
calculation and collection of port storage charges
Export / Import Detention (Free Time & Charge*)
1. Definition of Key Terms
Inbound | Detention shall commence
on the first day after container fully gate-out and end at end on the same
day of container's empty return |
Outbound | Detention shall commence
on the day of empty pick up from carrier’s facility and end one day after
cargo-cut off |
