As a customer of OOCLs we would like to bring to your attention changes to the customs procedures for exports to Japan. These changes are to enhance the security of the global supply chain, implementation is expected in March 2014.
Below are some of the changes that will affect bookings to Japan:

Revenue Restoration Program - Asia Europe Trade ( Westbound )
Dear Valued Customer,
In order to continue providing quality and sustainable services, we are announcing a Revenue Restoration Program in the Asia Europe Trade.
With effect from December 15, freight rate for westbound traffic from Far East (excluding Japan) to North Europe, the Mediterranean and Black Sea will be increased by US$775 per TEU.

We would like to inform you about the strike situation at the APM terminal in Rotterdam. The dispute is solely between Unions and APMT regarding working practices at their new facility.
All other terminals in Rotterdam continue to operate as normal, hence the GA Asia-Europe services are not subject to any delays or disruption.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and related cargo clearance agencies continue to operate under normal working hours with no delays in cargo operations experienced at this time. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Animal and Plant Health Inspection Services (USDA/AHPIS) are also staffed but at reduced levels which may lead to some delays in clearance of related cargoes. We will continue to provide additional information and updates if this status changes.
