From December 5, 2014 OOCL is represented in Egypt by "OOCL (Egypt) Shipping Agency S.A.E.", with offices in Alexandria, Cairo and Port Said.
Egypt covers an area of approximately 1 million square km and is bordered by Libya, Sudan, Israel and Gaza. The Mediterranean Sea is to the North of the country and the Red Sea to the East.

Egypt's main ports are Alexandria. Damietta, Port Said and Suez. The man-made Suez Canal, which links the Mediterranean Sea to the Red Sea opened for international navigation in 1869.
