​OOCL Wins Dubai Trade Award for E-Service Excellence

OOCL was proud to have received the Dubai Trade E-service excellence Award (ESEA) at the 5th ESEA gala held in the Grand Hyatt Dubai on January 28, 2013.

The Award was given to companies in nine categories to recognize their high performance in adopting the E-Services provided through the Dubai Trade portal  where OOCL  beat other nominees from the industry to take away the ‘Shipping Agent – Containerized Cargo of The Year 2012’.

Dubai Trade is the premier cross-border trade facilitator under Dubai World and provides a portal for all port users to conduct their activities which include submission of the loading and discharge manifest and the processing of the release order of containers.

A few years ago, when Dubai Trade embarked on many different projects to enrich their portal, OOCL proactively provided suggestions for this enhancement and was one of the few carriers that actively contributed in their latest project of uploading vessel schedule to their portal.
 
OOCL was honored with the award in the presence of His Excellency Abdullah Al Saleh, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Trade, His Excellency Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Chairman of DP World, Eng. Mahmood Al Bastaki, CEO of Dubai Trade, as well as other key dignitaries from the government and private sectors at the event.
