​OOCL Honored with Three CIFFA Awards

OOCL is proud to have won three Central Region Forwarder’s Choice Awards (FCA) hosted by the Canadian International Freight Forwarders Association (CIFFA).  The award presentation was held at a gala event celebrating the 65th Anniversary of CIFFA in Toronto on May 9, 2013.

This annual award program provides an opportunity for the CIFFA’s membership from the Canadian freight forwarding community to recognize the outstanding contribution and commitment of the Air and Ocean carriers to the industry.

Member forwarders were asked to select the carriers best represented in the following four service areas, namely, “Customer service”, “Operational Excellence”, “e-business” and “Innovation”. 

OOCL was nominated in all four categories and was voted the Best Ocean Carrier for “e-Business” and “Innovation” among the major carriers in the industry.

The highlight of the evening was OOCL being honored with the prestigious “Carrier of the Year” award, for having received the most votes across all four service categories combined.

Since the award program’s inception in 1999, this is the first time that OOCL has won so many FCA awards in a single year.  This year also marks the second consecutive year that OOCL has been presented with the grand “Carrier of the Year” Award and we are very pleased to be recognized for our consistent service performance and quality to better serve the Canadian freight forwarding community. 

We look forward to continue working more closely with our customers and the CIFFA member companies to raise service standards to new heights.
