
OOCL was the proud winner of "Best Carrier from Central Canada to the Far East " at the 2009 Canadian International Freight Forwarders Association's Central region's Forwarder's Choice Award Ceremony. Every year the three CIFFA regions award a prize for service quality, transit times and reliability to the best shipping and air-freight companies on the most important trade routes. The nominations are based on a survey of the association’s members and verification by an independent commission.
The Central Division has the largest density of Freight Forwarders and OOCL has won this particular Award as Best Carrier from Central Canada to the Far East in 2009 – 2008 – 2007 – 2006 – 2003 – 2002 – 2001 – 2000 which is a great testament of our customers support relationship and confidence in our company during these many years.
Since 1999, OOCL has accepted ten awards from CIFFA Central Region, eight from CIFFA Western Region and one from CIFFA Eastern Region, including eleven as the Best Ocean Carrier between Canada and Far East, two as the Best Ocean Carrier between Canada and Europe and three times as the "Ocean Carrier of the Year."

CIFFA was founded in Montreal as early as 1948, to establish a professional level in the industry, with uniform quality standards. Today the association is divided into three regions – West, East and Central Canada.
