OOCL won the Best Liner Owner/Operator Award at the Seatrade Asia Award ceremony, held in Shanghai on June 25, 2009.
The Seatrade Asia Awards are designed to celebrate and reward excellence and innovation in the maritime sector across the region over the previous 12 months. The Liner Owner/Operator award is given to companies who demonstrate the best customer service and reliability, as well as network and fleet development.
CC Tung, Chairman and CEO of Orient Overseas International Ltd (OOIL) was presented the Lifetime Achievement award at the ceremony, for his “significant and lasting contribution to the region’s shipping and maritime industry”.
