OOCL receives Gold Sponsor Award from Free Wheelchair Mission

OOCL has received a Gold Sponsor Award from the Free Wheelchair Mission, in recognition of our support in transporting wheelchairs to disabled people in underdeveloped countries. To date, OOCL has assisted the US-based charity in shipping over 40,150 wheelchairs around the world, helping improve the quality of life for disabled people in Vietnam, Philippines, Thailand, and many other countries.

“With the help of OOCL and the Free Wheelchair Mission, together with various aid organizations, the disabled poor in remote locations are able to get more and more of the help they need. Our partnership is making a difference; every day, a life is changed with the gift of mobility,” said Vanessa Mendoza, Logistics Manager of the Free Wheelchair Mission.

Founded in 2001, the Free Wheelchair Mission is an international non-profit organization dedicated to providing wheelchairs for the impoverished disabled in developing nations. Headquartered in Irvine, California, FWM works around the world in partnership with a vast network of humanitarian, faith-based and government organizations - sending wheelchairs to hundreds of thousands of disabled people.
