OOCL receives the new IMPCAS Attestation Certificate by CDI

OOCL is pleased to announce that we have successfully completed the audit carried out the by Chemical Distribution Institute (CDI) and was issued the International Marine Packed Cargo Audit Scheme (IMPCAS) Attestation Certificate on March 1, 2012.

OOCL has been an active member of this scheme since 2006 when we were first audited to verify our ships’ safety and operational standards for carrying chemical shipments.  As a carrier that is committed to ensuring the safety and integrity of our vessels, port facilities, customers’ cargo, and our employees both onshore and at sea, OOCL has maintained an excellent track record in all these areas and successfully received our CDI certifications ever since. 

Chemicals are one of the major commodities in OOCL’s portfolio and our major chemical customers are also supporters of this scheme.

IMPCAS is one of the largest projects of its kind in the world, with almost 200 auditors based in the major container handling ports. The scheme provides audit reports on each category of service provider involved in the distribution supply chain and extends to Shipping Companies, Ships, Tank Container Operators, Container Freight Stations, Freight Forwarders, Agents, and Container Terminals.
