OOCL Announces New Asia-East Africa Service 8 (EAX8)
Dear Valued Customers,
OOCL is pleased to announce the launch of the new Asia-East Africa Service 8 (EAX8), providing direct connections between India and East Africa.
The new EAX8 service adopts a butterfly network structure, connecting India's key gateways, Nhava Sheva and Mundra, with the major East African markets of Mombasa, Kenya, and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. With two loops operating simultaneously, EAX8 provides weekly coverage of both Mombasa and Dar es Salaam while enhancing schedule reliability and operational flexibility.
The new service will commence from Nhava Sheva on 22 September 2026 for the Mombasa Loop and 23 September 2026 for the Dar es Salaam Loop.
EAX8 Service Rotation
Mombasa Loop (Southbound / Northbound)
Nhava Sheva → Mundra → Mombasa → Nhava Sheva
Dar es Salaam Loop (Westbound / Eastbound)
Nhava Sheva → Mundra → Dar es Salaam → Nhava Sheva
