Assistant Manager - Digital & Intelligent Transformation, Fleet Technical

Accountabilities


  • Digitalization & Intelligent Systems Delivery: Lead the implementation, enhancement, and optimization of digital and intelligent solutions for fleet marine engineering operations, including management systems, equipment monitoring platforms, and data analytics tools, to improve efficiency and replace manual processes
  • Data-Driven Cost Optimization: Analyze vessel performance, energy consumption, and cost-related data, including fuel, lubricants, spare parts, stores, and lashing equipment. Identify improvement opportunities and implement solutions to achieve operational and cost-efficiency KPIs
  • Process Improvement & Compliance​: Review and enhance workflows related to vessel maintenance, equipment management, spare parts control, and fault handling processes to support digital transformation and strengthen operational excellence
  • Team Support & Capability Development: Support departmental management initiatives and provide training to frontline staff on digital systems and intelligent equipment maintenance. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to ensure effective system adoption
  • Technology Innovation & Industry Benchmarking: Monitor developments in shipping digitalization and intelligent technologies, benchmark industry best practices, and recommend practical solutions for fleet modernization and operational enhancement



​Requirements​

  • ​University graduate in Naval Architecture, Computer Science, Data Science or a related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in shipping, marine engineering management, fleet digitalization, or intelligent systems implementation. Hands-on experience with maritime digital platforms is preferred
  • Strong project management, cross-functional coordination, and stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to drive initiatives across multiple departments
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills, a high sense of responsibility, and the ability to work effectively under pressure while delivering innovative solutions
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, digital platforms, and relevant programming or data analytics tools. Capable of managing the full lifecycle of digital projects, from planning and implementation to operation and continuous improvement. Strong data analysis capabilities with a proven ability to support operational optimization and cost control initiatives
