Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager - Bunker Monitoring

Accountabilities


  • To concentrate on bunker/energy consumption and budge plan of assigned vessels 
  • To track, count and analyze operated fleet fuel consumption data. Report regularly on actual consumption and budget completion of operated fleet. 
  • To take part in technical analyzing and studying and devise operational consumption target and the fuel consumption strategy 
  • To devise flight/random oil inspection and sewage water retreat plan, implement and monitor flight/random bunker/energy usage inspection and sewage water retreat operation 
  • To scrutinize of ship combustion, resin management onboard the vessel; analyze the cause of oversupply and provide feedback of flight/random inspection 
  • To work with other departments on implementing and monitoring vessel refueling and sealing operations, scrutinize third-party sealing operations and ship self-sealing operations when necessary 
  • To conduct flight/random in​spection on assigned vessels. To identify potential problematic vessels that have abnormal fuel consumption, devise tangible means to confront issues and establish SOP 
  • To evaluate and monitor vendors’ service performance and quality regularly. 
  • To discuss with captain and chief engineer of assigned vessels on target consumption, the implementation of efficiency goal etc 
  • To perform ad-hoc tasks as required 



​Requirements

  • University graduate in Marine Engineering, Shipping and Logistics or related disciplines 
  • Min. 3 years of working experience in Marine Engineering 
  • Licensed in Certificate of Competency (Marine Engineer Officer) Class 2 or 3, or equivalent qualification  
  • Good communication, decision making and problem-solving skills with analytical mind 
  • Able to work independently and under pressure 
  • Proactive, result-driven and possesses good knowledge in marine operations 
  • Proficient in spoken and written English and Chinese 
  • Competent in using MS Office Applications, including Excel, Word, Power Point, Power BI
