Assistant Manager - Projects, Regions & Group Reporting

To cope with business expansion and development needs, we are looking for a dedicated and quality talent to join the Headquarter financial control team. Reporting to the Manager of Projects, Regions and Group Reporting Section, the candidate is required to:
- Provide daytoday general ledger (GL) support and technical accounting guidance to the Group’s regional entities worldwide.
- Monitor and ensure that monthly accounts closing and housekeeping of the regional entities’ books of accounts are completed in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner.
- Oversee and review monthly, quarterly, interim and year-end financial submissions from regional entities to ensure full compliance with Group reporting requirements.
- Oversee the annual statutory audits of regional entities and ensure that the audit processes are executed efficiently and effectively.
- Standardize accounting practices and policies adopted by regional entities to enhance consistency and compliance.
- Design, implement, and monitor financial control processes for regional entities, with a focus on strengthening internal controls of the Group; participate in Financial Control Reviews in regional offices.
- Support regional entities in their budgeting and forecasting cycles.
- Collaborate with other HQ teams to automate and streamline workflows and sub-processes of regional entities and accounting service center, particularly for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles.
- Liaise and coach accounting service center in PRC in performing more effective accounting review for all regional entities, and to conduct more in-depth investigation if necessary.
- Produce high quality financial analysis and provide support ad‑hoc projects and assignments as needed.
- Preferably qualified accountant with bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related discipline.
- Minimum 4 years’ work experience in accounting field, work experience in Big 4/MNC is preferable.
- Knowledge in shipping and logistics industry will be a definite advantage.
- Relevant work experience in China SOE and Jiuqi reporting is a plus.
- Good analytical, problem-solving and presentation skills.
- Mature, self-motivated, deadline-driven and comfortable to work under pressure.
- Cross departmental team-player with strong interpersonal skills.
- Computer literate in MS Excel (Advanced) /Word/PowerPoint; Experience in SAP is preferable.
- Proficient spoken and written Chinese and English with good command of Putonghua.
