Assistant Manager - Corporate Strategic Planning and Market Research
Job Location
Hong Kong Office
- Conduct research and analysis to support the Company's strategic initiatives and business planning within the shipping and logistics industries.
- Monitor and analyze industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities, and assist in benchmarking findings against the Company's business performance and market position.
- Collect, organize, and analyze qualitative and quantitative data, including industry, economic, and financial information.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and insights to support management's decision-making and strategic planning.
- Maintain internal databases, perform data cleansing, and support research-related projects and initiatives.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external parties to gather market intelligence and relevant business information.
- Provide administrative and operational support to the team as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Economics or related discipline. Background in Shipping, Transportation, or Logistics industry would be preferred. Knowledge in data analysis also a plus.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience, preferably in research, business analysis, market intelligence, or other analytical functions.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into meaningful insights.
- Detail-oriented and data-driven, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with strong written communication abilities in both English and Chinese.
- Mature, self-motivated, proactive, quick to learn, and a collaborative team player.
- Proficient in both spoken and written English and Chinese; proficiency in Putonghua is an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Advanced Excel skills are highly preferred, while knowledge of Power BI, data visualization tools, and AI applications is an advantage.
