Marcin Zawislak, Customer Service and Operations Manager

I started my professional career in 2001 in a husbandry agent which was acting as a third party agent for OOCL in Poland. Standing on the pier of a small container terminal at Gdansk, Poland and watching OOCL Neva feeder vessel coming gracefully through the port canal, I had little idea that imperceptibly I had stepped on the road which would take me to a long, challenging and very satisfactory journey with OOCL.

 
After working in port operations and customer service at the husbandry agent for 7 years, in 2008 I was offered the opportunity to join OOCL (Poland) Limited Sp.z o.o - OOCL’s own office newly established in Poland. I started in the Customer Service Inbound team. The small office environment enabled me to gather experiences from every side of our activities from operations to IT related matters. 8 years on the frontline had allowed me to experience both the tremendous support from a network of fantastic people, as well as the exceptional commitment of the company to apply core values in everyday operations, forming a unique global culture of OOCL.


In 2017 I was promoted to Customer Service and Operations Manager and in the same year I was privileged to take part in the International Executive Development Program in Hong Kong HQ. This enriching and perspective-widening experience allowed me to understand better the wide scope of OOCL vision, with and in-depth company operations training as well as a unique chance to receive knowledge from the top management’s perspective. I also witnessed first hand the company’s commitment to the core value of People, People, People.

 
I am honored to be a part of the OOCL family and looking forward to tackling future challenges and opportunities together in an ever changing shipping environment.
