Germany Colleagues Participate in Charity Run in Support for Customer’s Corporate Responsibility Efforts
On July 4, 2023, 45 colleagues from our Germany offices took part in a charity run in Bremen, Germany sponsored by one of our key customers in the region. The event aimed to raise funds for a well maintenance project in Uganda, Africa and the construction of a maternity ward in Gambia, Africa.
Weekly training to gear up for the charity run
In preparation for the charity run, a weekly running group was formed three weeks before the event. Every Wednesday, the participants gathered at the park opposite the office to run 5 km after work. With the positive response from participants, this weekly run will remain as a regular staff engagement activity for interested colleagues to exercise with their peers after work.
Crossing the finishing line together
The charity run took place in a park on the banks of the River Weser, which runs through the city of Bremen. The event was a huge success, drawing over 3,000 participants from 200 companies in and around Bremen. Our 45 colleagues had a wonderful time running as a team for a good cause, and they all crossed the finishing line together with music and cheers from their family and supporters on the sidelines.
