​Hong Kong (China) Office Volunteers Help with Cat Shelter Chores

​Apart from serving people in need, OOCL also recognizes the importance of animal welfare. In November, our Hong Kong (China) office collaborated with the NGO Hong Kong Saving Cat and Dog Association (HKSCDA) to organize visits to their cat shelter on two Saturdays to clean up the environment for the abandoned cats.

29 volunteers participated in the two sessions of service to help with daily chores at the cat shelter. The volunteers truly lent a helping hand as the NGO appreciated help from volunteers to sustain their daily operation apart from staff. Our volunteers helped clean the cages, mopped the floor and prepared food and water for the cats cared for there. Through these small acts, the volunteers made a meaningful impact on the abandoned cats by creating a cleaner and healthier environment for them.​
