New York City Colleagues Prepare Holiday Gifts for Children in Shelters
With the hope of helping vulnerable children make their Christmas wishes come true, OOCL Logistics USA supported the Projects with Care initiative, “Stockings with Care,” a heartfelt program dedicated to fulfilling the holiday wish lists of children in NYC shelters. Each child in the program can make up to three holiday wishes, ensuring their voices are heard and their hopes recognized.
This year, 19 colleagues from the OOCL Logistics New York City office volunteered their time to wrap purchased gifts and support the pickup by December 8, 2025, bringing the magic of Christmas to more than 3,000 vulnerable children in New York City this holiday season.
These gifts are delivered to parents and caregivers, who personally give them to their children on Christmas Day. Unlike other holiday gift drives, this initiative empowers parents to be the heroes for the older children, while preserving the magic of Santa for the little ones.
The initiative aims to help children feel cherished and supported, no matter their circumstances. When children receive the gifts they asked for, they know they are heard, they see that they matter, and they experience the true joy and spirit of Christmas.
