OOCL (Belgium) Sponsors Employees’ Participation in Cancer Charity Run

On Sunday, March 24, 2019, Yentl Segers (son of our Belgium colleague Peggy Lindekens) and his three teammates embarked on a 100km charity run in Boom, Belgium to raise fund for Fighting Against Cancer (an NGO) for cancer research. OOCL (Belgium)  supported this meaningful Community Responsibility activity through financial sponsorship to Yentl’s team, which raised fund for the charity by completing the 100km run.

The touching story of Kato Dobbels (the sister of one of the teammates) who has been bravely fighting against cancer, gave Yentl’s team the energy and courage to organize months-long training programs to best prepare themselves for the challenging distance event. With endurance, perseverance and teamwork, they completed the run together in 4 hours 14 minutes.
