Shenzhen Office Brings Joy to the Elderly at the Welfare Home
In June 2024, the OOCL Logistics (China) Shenzhen office joined hands with the Futian District Welfare Home in Shenzhen to celebrate the birthdays of the elderly residents. To ensure that each elderly resident could enjoy their special day with warmth and care, the team organized a monthly birthday party with the help of dedicated volunteers.
Our colleagues provided an array of thoughtful gifts, including cakes, fruits, milk, and towels, to make the celebrations joyous. Some colleagues went the extra mile, assisting with wheelchair support, cake distribution, and gift presentation. The highlight of the event was a splendid performance by the volunteers, featuring beautiful singing and graceful dancing to commemorate the elders' birthdays. The elderly residents were visibly delighted and experienced an unforgettable birthday celebration.
Recognizing the importance of a healthy living environment, the team also presented pots of green plants to the welfare home. These plants, through the process of photosynthesis, can absorb harmful gases and release oxygen, thereby purifying the air and eliminating odors. This thoughtful gesture contributed to creating a more environmentally friendly and healthy atmosphere for the elderly residents.
