​As a responsible corporate citizen, OOCL recognizes that the communities in which we live and work contribute greatly to the company’s overall success; therefore, we embrace Community Responsibility as one of our core values. We strive to maintain high safety standards, demonstrate our concern for the environment as well as adhere to ethically sound code of conduct.

OOCL employees across the world are encouraged to give something back to the communities in which they live through charitable activities such as fundraising and volunteering by dedicating their time and efforts to help others in need. Some of the areas where the charity donations were made include: education, social services, orphanages, elderly homes, schools, children’s hospitals, cancer research, multiple sclerosis, and diabetes research.

In addition to financial donations, we also contribute in kind. We offer transportation and logistics support to send relief to the affected areas. Assistance in the form of free transportation is often given to a number of charitable projects including transporting medical diagnostic equipment and supplies from the US to China to care for those children who need urgent treatments.
