Effective 1st July 2003, Mr. Philip Chow, has been appointed to the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Orient Overseas Container Line Ltd ( OOCLL). He will oversee all the Company's territorial trade businesses and continue to be a member of the Executive Committee of OOCLL. Mr. Chow, currently the President of North America Trade Management and of OOCL (USA) Inc., will relocate to OOCLL's Hong Kong Headquarters.
To succeed Mr. Chow, Mr. Peter Leng will be appointed to the position of President of North America and Director of OOCLL, Hong Kong, as well as becoming a member of the OOCLL’s Executive Committee. Mr. Leng is currently Senior Vice President of OOCL (USA) Inc.
Mr. Stephen Ng, Director of Intra-Asia Trade (IAT), will relocate to OOCL (USA) Inc. to take up the position of Senior Vice President of Transpacific Trade, with effect from 1 August, 2003.
Mr. Michael Kwok, currently General Manager of Fleet Management, will be transferred to succeed Mr. Ng in the capacity of Director of IAT.
Mr. S.C. Tai, currently Deputy General Manger of Fleet Management, will be appointed Acting General Manager of Fleet Management, with effect from 1 August, 2003.
