OOCL announced today that it will introduce its own Vietnam/Hong Kong/Singapore (VHS) feeder service.
The new feeder is a response to rapidly-rising demand for its services in Vietnam market, which in turn can be attributed to their high quality and reliability. The new feeder will further enhance OOCL’s premier service to and from Vietnam, giving customers superior reliability and stability, and protecting space for them during the busy peak period.
The new service will be launched in two stages, with the first stage commencing on June 4. This will connect Hong Kong with Ho Chi Minh on a weekly basis. This will be followed by an extension of the service to Singapore.
Stage 1:
Ho Chi Minh (Tue/Wed) – Hong Kong(Fri/Sat) – Ho Chi Minh(Tue/Wed) with deployment of one 600-TEU vessel sailing from Hong Kong on June 4, 2005.
Stage 2:
Ho Chi Minh (Mon/Wed) – Hong Kong(Fri/Sat) – Ho Chi Minh(Tue/Wed) – Singapore(Sat/Sat) – Ho Chi Minh (Mon/Wed), on a two-ship operation towards the end of July. This will involve adding a 600TEU vessel to the service.
