OOCL Seattle Named at Koyo Dockyard
 

Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) celebrated the christening and delivery of the 5,888-TEU, S-Class m.v. OOCL Seattle on February 14, 2007, a container vessel ordered by the company under a long-term time charter agreement with Shoei Kisen Kaisha Ltd. Mr. Itaru Masuda, Director and First Senior Executive Officer of The Chuo Mitsui Trust and Banking Company, Limited named the vessel the m.v. OOCL Seattle, followed by the cutting of the Champagne cord by Mrs. Naoko Higaki, the wife of Mr. Hidefumi Higaki, Managing Director of Imabari Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. The m.v. OOCL Seattle was built by the Imabari Shipbuilding Co., Ltd.; Koyo Dockyard Co. Ltd.

    



The m.v. OOCL Seattle will be deployed on the EU4 Loop – Asia-Europe Westbound and Europe-Asia Eastbound - with the Grand Alliance. The port rotation is: Rotterdam/ Hamburg/ Southampton/ Singapore/ Kaohsiung/ Busan/ Dalian/ Xingang/ Qingdao/ Busan/ Shanghai/ Ningbo/ Singapore/ Port Klang/ Jeddah and back to Rotterdam in a 63-day round trip.
