OOCL is delighted to announce it has been named as a winner of the “InfoWorld 100 Awards”, published on November 17 in California, US.
InfoWorld Media Group is a division of International Data Group (IDG), the world's leading technology media, research and event company. Every year, InfoWorld's editorial staff names 100 companies that have made the best use of technology to enhance their business. The InfoWorld 100 awards celebrate IT projects that use technology in smart, innovative, creative ways to meet business and technical objectives.
Nominations were submitted by InfoWorld readers, technology partners, and end-user companies. To be considered, projects must use multiple technologies in innovative ways to serve well-defined business goals.
"Breathing new life into outdated operations, advancing business goals with inventive use of technology -- this year's winners demonstrate, once again, that innovative, business-minded IT is the lifeblood of successful organizations," said Jason Snyder, Senior Editor for InfoWorld.
OOCL received the award in the Transportation Category for “Lifecycle Management Visibility Initiative”. OOCL improved visibility into the performance and availability of its Integrated Regional Information System (IRIS-2) lifecycle management system, integrating the application performance management software from SL Corp with a wide array of underlying systems infrastructures, including Oracle's OC4J, Tibco EMS, Hawk, and BusinessWorks.
“As an industry leader in technology, OOCL strives to provide the most innovative international container transport and logistics services in the business. We are committed to continuous improvement through advanced technology and information systems, and we are delighted to receive recognition with the InfoWorld 100 Award,” said OOCL’s Chief Information Officer, Mr. Steve Siu.
