OOCL Ranked Top Carrier by AgTC Members

OOCL is pleased to be recognized as a top carrier in the Annual Survey conducted by the Agriculture Transportation Coalition (AgTC) this year.

Each year AgTC surveys a broad and diverse cross-section of its membership of US agriculture and forest product exporters as well as importers from all over the world, moving over 500,000 TEU (Twenty-foot Equivalent Unit) worth of both dry and refrigerated commodities to their markets.

Over 280 professionals from across the sector participated in the survey to review 19 major carriers for their customer service performance based upon booking and pre-shipment services, terminal service and equipment availability, documentation and post-shipment services, and vessel schedules and on-time transit.

This prestigious award, widely recognized by the industry for customer service excellence, was presented at the 25th Annual Meeting of the AgTC held in San Francisco, California, on June 21, 2012.  OOCL received the Top Ranked Carrier 2012 in front of over 300 industry executives and this is the third time within the last five years that OOCL has received the top honor.

Upon receiving the award, Mr. Edward Zaninelli, Vice President, Trans-Pacific Trade Westbound Commercial of OOCL thanked our supporters and remarked, “The AgTC membership is one of the most comprehensive representation of the industry in the Trans-Pacific trade in the United States.  They are a diverse group of professionals that never settle for less than the best in customer service quality and dependable operations.  There is no other award that we would value as a true reflection on our abilities to meeting our customers’ business needs.  This is as the best of the best that you can get in an award for this area in the industry.”

Over the years, OOCL has constantly been working with the AgTC membership and everyone else along the supply chain to better understand their shipment needs in order to successfully deliver tailored and quality customer-centric services that would help them succeed in today’s challenging business environment.

According to one of our customers, “The Pacific Northwest Asia Shippers Association has long considered OOCL a quality transportation partner and the AgTC's 'Carrier of the Year' award is strong validation of this opinion.  We congratulate OOCL on this outstanding achievement,” said Mr. Hayden Swofford, Executive Director of the Pacific Northwest Asia Shippers Association that represents traders of forest products in the United States.
