Customs Advance Manifest
EORI number notification to OOCL (the Carrier)

We need your EORI numbers NOW !!

Providing OOCL with your EORI number will reduce your customs risk analysis score when you are a shipment party for shipments into the EU.  EORI numbers should be provided to OOCL local offices in writing by the Legal Entity or a Branch thereof.

The EORI number will be used in any ENS submission undertaken by OOCL (the Carrier) where the legal entity or Branch is shown as a party in the Shipping Instructions.

In cases where an EORI is quoted within Shipping Instructions:
EORI previously provided by Legal Entity or Branch thereof – the EORI will be used in that shipment for the purposes of ENS submission.
EORI not previously provided by Legal Entity or Branch thereof - the EORI will need to be validated with the Legal Entity or Branch prior to use in ENS submission, and due to time constraints, may not be used in that shipment for the purpose of ENS submission, in which case full name and address details including postcode will be required.

Additional Information

If you are involved in customs activities and are established in the customs territory of the European Community, you should be registered by the customs authority of the EU Member State in which you are established.

If you are not established in the customs territory of the European Community, you will be registered by the customs authority of the Member State where you first perform EU Custom’s undertakings.

The legislation restricts the issue of an EORI number to a legal entity – sole proprietor, partnership, company or individual. It therefore cannot be allocated to individual branches or divisions within a legal entity. Only one EORI number can be issued per legal entity.
