Changes in Chassis Management for crossborder shipments
Dear Customer,
Effective October 1st, OOCL decided to follow the market practice on chassis handling in Canadian crossborder trade.
That means that no carrier owned chassis will be provided any longer for all cargo moving via Montreal (CY/ RAMP/ DOOR)
This initiative does not impact cargo routed via USA ports (Eastcoast, Gulf and Westcoast ports)
CY/RAMP Shipments (door deliveries under merchants haulage)
Customers will be requested to supply own chassis for all pick-ups and/or deliveries throughout the United States
OOCL door shipments will be carried on trucker supplied chassis i/o carrier owned chassis, will be arranged by OOCL.
