Customer Advisory: Canadian Pacific (CP) Rail Prohibited Cargo Commodity

Dear Customer,

Please note Canadian Pacific (CP) Rail has now prohibited any intermodal rail container movement of the cargo commodity Calcium Carbide.  Calcium Carbide if mixed with water generates a flammable gas called acetylene.  In addition to the CP, the Canadian National Railway has also prohibit the cargo commodity Calcium Carbide.

Please note as well that OOCL does not accept any booking request for the cargo commodity Calcium Carbide based on the safety risks involved.
