Increase of Fuel Surcharges for Carrier’s Haulage Transports
Dear valued customer,
Due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, resulting in the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, fuel costs have increased significantly.
Based on thorough evaluation of the current conditions, OOCL will increase subject surcharges for transports to and from Germany/Austria/Slovenia/Czech Republic/Slovakia/Switzerland/Liechtenstein as follows:
IFL (Outbound) and IFD (Inbound)
Effective March 16th, 2026, for non-regulated Trades
Effective April 12th, 2026, for regulated Trades
| Transport mode | Surcharge Level |
| Truck | 19% on inland rate |
| Barge | 15% on inland rate |
| Rail | EUR 27 per container |
