Customs & Port Regulations
All containers must be declared 24 hours before commencement of discharge by sea.
Containers entering the Free zone by land, for export, must be sealed by the Customs of the point of origin or when entering Greek borders.
Containers traveling with Customs’ seal (not cleared) are allowed for transport provided a suitable bond (covering customs duties) has been deposited by the owner of the goods or his forwarding company.
If the customs require an inspection of contents, the relevant expenses are for consignees account.
DG Restrictions
DG with IMO class 1 and 7 are not accepted. All other DG must be declared 24 hours before entering the port area.
Weight restrictions.
Containers of maximum working load can be handled by all 3 Port Operators. However, as per road restrictions, maximum allowed weight equals to 30tns (tare weight inlcuded).
