Many thanks for your enquiry on the captioned request and we would like to advise you the handling process as below for your easy reference to ensure smooth operation.
- The requester must be the named party or endorsee on BL and hold full set of original B/L with proper endorsement, should send OOCL a switch BL application form (please refer attached OOCL standard requsition form) at least 3 working days before vessel arrived port of discharge/ final destination in order to avoid customs penalty.
Switch B/L Application Form against Original B/L / Switch B/L Application Form against Bank Guarantee
- The written request must have company chop and signature. Customer could email to [email protected] for switch BL application. An auto reply will be generated to the sender as an acknowledgement of your email within 15 minutes . In the meantime, we will review/ verify the switch B/L request and send a reply to customer within 2 working hours.
- Upon receiving our confirmation for switch BL shipment, customer should submit full set of duly endorsed original BL and the original switch BL application form to our counter office for proceeding to switch BL. We will amend the B/L as per the request and will send you the amended B/L copy within 3 working hours if no further clarification with the Discharging port or Destination office is needed.
- If no further amendment of B/L data is required, customer should come to our counter office in exchange of the new set switch original B/L and to settle the switch BL fee within 3 working days.
