Officer - Port Operations
Job Location
Hong Kong Office
- To handle vessel clearance documentation and ensure compliance with relevant authority requirements for vessel arrival and departure in Hong Kong.
- To coordinate with vessel masters, terminals, service providers and internal teams to support smooth vessel operations.
- To attend vessels in port and assist in handling operational matters during vessel calls.
- To monitor cargo operations and follow up on operational exceptions or ad hoc requests.
- To support crew logistics arrangements, including medical appointments, crew changes, repatriation and transportation.
- To liaise with government authorities and service providers to facilitate vessel and crew-related activities.
- To perform boarding duties and attend vessels during day or night shifts as required.
- University graduate with at least 1 year’s relevant work experience with cargo operation in the container transport industry
- Proven initiative, meticulous, diligent and attentive to details
- High proficiency in MS Word and Excel
- Good communication, interpersonal skills and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in spoken and written English and Chinese; good command of Putonghua is an added advantage
- Willing to work at night time / outdoors/ boarding the vessel
- Possession of a valid Hong Kong driving licence is mandatory
