USA -  Alameda Corridor Charge

ANNOUNCEMENT
USA to Hong Kong / South China
Alameda Corridor Charge


Dear Customer,

This is to inform that with effect from 1st January 2006, the Alameda Corridor Charge (ACC) will be adjusted at the following levels:


  20’ Container     US$ 17
  40’ Container     US$ 34
  40’ HQ Container    US$ 34
  45’ Container     US$ 38

**Based on cargo receiving date.


Notes:
This charge will be imposed on all cargo moving through the ports of Los Angeles or Long Beach that is transported by rail through or out of Southern California, whether or not actually carried over the Alameda Corridor. It will be included on the bill of lading and will be paid by the cargo interest before release of the cargo to the consignee.

It is charged for recovering the amounts paid to railroads in connection with the railroads' agreements with the Alameda Corridor Transportation Authority to assist in recovering the costs of constructing and operating the Alameda Corridor.
