Electronic Submission of Cargo Manifest
From Hong Kong, Macau, South China to Indonesia
Dear Customers,
This is to advise that with effect from 1st July, 2006, there are new customs requirements for inbound cargo manifest in Indonesia. Customers who have shipments moving to Indonesia must comply the followings:
1. Cargo Description
- Generic description like Various Goods, Sundry Goods, General Cargo, General Merchandise, Personal Effect and Raw Material etc is NOT acceptable.
- A clear and precise commodity name is required. A list of sample is attached for your reference.
2. Consignee
- Consignee or Notify Party should be an Indonesian party (locally domiciled).
- If actual consignee is not shown on B/L, forwarders in destination must submit their own data to OOCL’s Jakarta office by providing the Actual Consignee. With new regulation, Forwarders MUST submit data to our Jakarta office in EDI Format as stated in Point no. c: Forwarders shall use the latest version of "Entry Date Module" (Version 1.21) -> downloadable from PT. EDI Indonesia’s Website: www.edi-indonesia.co.id The cut off time for Forwarders submit to OOCL’s Jakarta office is 72 hours prior to Feeder's berthing. A Documentation Fee of USD10/House B/L Level will be imposed at the destination.
3. CY/CFS or CFS/CFS Term shipments
- Forwarders when submit their own data to OOCL’s Jakarta office, they should indicate the possibility of BL SPLIT and change term of shipments
- If any shipment cannot fulfill the requirements, it will NOT be allowed to discharge. Any penalty and additional costs occurred will be on account of cargo.
