ANNOUNCEMENT

Japan Enforce Wood Packaging Requirements

Dear Customers, 

This is to advise that the government of Japan is now enforcing requirements of ISPM No.15 (the International Standard for Phytosanitary Measures), an international agreement of solid wood packing materials with effective on 1 April 2007.

ISPM 15 requires that any solid wood packing material be either heat treated or treated by methyl bromide, and that all such articles have an approved mark from an approved treatment facility.
