Notice to Shippers
Import Restrictions to India
Dear Customer,
As we have observed the India’s government authorities have exercised tight investigation for the below listed commodity recently. To avoid invariably cargo delay or even force in cargo abandonment finally, with immediate effect, we will suspend the booking acceptance of below commodities until 31st August, 2010 :
A) From China to India (all ports) :
· Mobiles and mobile accessories
· Footwear
· Ladies Bags
· Cosmetics
· Welded Mesh
· Mixed Load Shipment
B) From China to Chennai, India :
· Mobiles and mobile accessories
. Novelties
· Games and game accessories
· Food items viz. Candy & Milk Powder
Besides these listed commodity restrictions, all Booking Party are also reminded to provide a complete shipper & consignee contact information at time of Shipping Instruction. If the consignee is not reachable by our India’s office and/ or the consignee contact information is incomplete, cargo will be retained on board and return to the Origin loading port which shipper will be responsible for all the resultant charges.
Taking this opportunity, we would like to remind you, the Booking Party & Shipper, whose cargo upon inspection by local customs is found to have been incorrectly described, weighted, measured, and/ or counted, shall be responsible for re-rating of any freight and charges due.
