Notice to Customer

New Requirements for Cargo Description/ Marks & Numbers to Philippines

Dear Customers, 

We would like to inform you that Philippines Customs has announced the new requirement of Final Delivery/ Destination other than what is stated in PLACE OF DELIVERY on B/L to be indicated within the first 5 lines of B/L Description.  In the event that the B/L description field is filled up, said remarks may also be indicated within the first 10 lines of the marks and numbers field.

Below are the AUTOMATED CUSTOMS OPERATING SYSTEM  (ACOS) specifications for your reference:

Cargo Description  

• Philippines Customs E2M System only reads the first five (5) lines of the B/L description.  First line of the B/L description is a mandatory field.  All the necessary details must be indicated within the first 5 lines.

Marks and Numbers

• Philippines Customs E2M System reads up to ten (10) lines of the marks and numbers field.

Net Weight and Volume

• Philippines Customs E2M System only reads up to the first two (2) digits after the decimal point.

In case of non-compliance, cargoes may be subjected to additional inspections, delays for loading and penalties might be imposed.
