Please be advised Port Security Surcharge will also be applicable on outbound laden shipments from Gateway Port of Mundra and inbound/outbound laden shipments via Gateway Port of Pipavav. This is to cover the additional cost of VTS fees levied by the Gujarat Maritime Board.

Effective Date : 25 Oct 2013 for cargo to/from North America and 25 Sep 2013 for cargo to/from other locations barring North America.

Quantum : USD 10/container subject to service tax @ 12.36

Charge code for Import : SED (Security Surcharge at Destination)
Charge code for Exports: SEO (Security Surcharge at Origin)

Note : Port Security Surcharge was already applicable for Inbound shipments of Mundra around a year back.
